Digital Media, Music Education and Inclusion

Digital media play an essential role in the lives of many children and young people. Easy access to music online and on data storage media opens up a wide range of opportunities for children and young people to gain musical experience and to shape their own musical identity. Especially in the context of inclusion, a topic that is currently being discussed intensively in pedagogy and music education, digital media open up new forms of musical experience for children and young people with special needs or disabilities. The research, didactic mediation and utilization of special software is an important prerequisite for this.
